Educating people of faith to think deeply about God, live authentically, and lead courageously, amid shifting spiritual and social landscapes.
At Knox College, a federated college of the University of Toronto, students integrate faith with practice. The small college atmosphere fosters a strong community, yet as part of the Toronto School of Theology, students have access to over 300 courses. Online and video-conferenced courses available. Bursary offered to all students.
Practicums & Internships
Experiential learning is a cornerstone of our curriculum. Students preparing for congregational ministry engage in a practicum to gain hands-on experience. Placements are also available in hospitals and social service agencies. Students in spiritual care and psychotherapy program complete 2 Clinical Pastoral Education units with over 400 hours of training.
Knox College graduates serve as congregational ministers, hospital/military/university/social ministry chaplains, educators, overseas workers, Christian counsellors and psychotherapists. With the MPS degree in spiritual care and psychotherapy, students meet the competencies for Canadian Association for Spiritual Care certification and College of Registered Psychotherapy of Ontario membership.
